Our Postpartum Care Principles

At Lisa’s Chinese Postpartum Care, we respect Chinese postpartum traditions while recognizing that every mother and family has different needs.

We welcome American-born Chinese, Asian, Western, and multicultural families. Before recommending a caregiver, Lisa discusses the family’s expectations, newborn care routines, meal preferences, and communication needs.

Our care focuses on the mother and baby. Caregivers help with newborn care, feeding according to the parents’ plan, diaper changes, bathing, soothing, and agreed daytime and overnight support. They also provide practical help so mothers have more time to rest.

Traditional Taiwanese and Chinese postpartum meals can be arranged upon request. Meal preparation is discussed in advance, including food preferences, allergies, dietary needs, and family traditions.

We explain traditional customs without requiring every family to follow the same restrictions. We respect parents’ decisions and the guidance of their healthcare providers. Our caregivers provide non-medical support.

Honesty, patience, reliability, and respect are central to our caregiver selection. Clear communication helps families and caregivers understand their responsibilities and address concerns.

Live-in care includes 6–7 hours of scheduled rest for the caregiver each day. Duties, meal arrangements, and rest schedules are agreed upon before service begins.

Our goal is to offer culturally respectful, practical support that helps each family feel comfortable as they welcome their baby.
